Appreciating NSmen Video Competition

We Thank NSmen - Appreciation Video Competition 2019

Appreciating NSmen Video Competition

National servicemen play a vital role in Singapore’s defence and security. They serve to defend our loved ones, homes and way of life.

This year, in support of the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD), SAFRA organised an appreciation video competition among tertiary institutions and its students as part of its ‘We Thank NSmen’ initiatives.

Students were invited to express their creativity in conveying heartfelt thanks to national servicemen nationwide by conceptualising and producing short videos of up to 90 seconds.

The competition ran from 6 May till 7 Jun 2019. A total of 28 video entries were received from 12 tertiary institutions. Seven videos were selected by the panel of judges to receive the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards. One of the Merit Award videos also clinched the Audience Choice Award by public vote.

In the lead-up to National Day this year, the top winning videos will be circulated on Facebook. Singaporeans are encouraged to join us in showing their support and heartfelt appreciation to national servicemen islandwide by liking, sharing or posting their personalised thank-you messages on the video posts of the top winning videos on Facebook. The winning videos will also be screened at all SAFRA clubs and selected People’s Association community clubs.
